Since 2023, IMT Partners has strengthened its presence in Europe with the opening of an Italian office based in Milan.
Already active with a number of French companies operating in Italy, the firm is now taking things a step further by offering interim management support specifically designed for the Italian market, with Italian and international managers selected for their local and sector expertise. Among other things, it builds on the momentum generated by the Quirinal Treaty, signed between France and Italy 4 years ago.
This strategic move makes IMT Partners the first interim management firm to operate fully in Italy, combining geographical proximity, a detailed understanding of the Italian economic fabric and exacting European standards. This is partly thanks to the Italian managers we are seeking to fill these assignments.
Transforming Italy's retail sector: a strategic challenge
For 10 months, IMT Partners helped a major Italian retailer set up a new BtoB business.
Mission objective: to recruit a Digital Marketing PMO in order to structure the integration of this innovative activity, support the sales teams and underpin the Group's omnichannel development.
For this assignment, we called on an interim manager with almost 20 years' experience in the retail sector, based in Milan but having worked for international groups, particularly in the French food industry, with a solid knowledge of the Italian market.
Industry in Italy: supporting subsidiaries of French groups
As part of the turnaround of an Italian subsidiary of a French industrial group, IMT Partners was asked to lead a 7-month strategic mission.
The aim of this intervention was to prepare for the sale of the business by ensuring the stability of support functions and facilitating labor relations in a sensitive context.
We mobilized an Italian interim manager specializing in the industrial sector, with extensive experience of complex HR environments and familiarity with negotiations with trade unions in Italy.
Deployment of a new store concept in Italy for a listed group
A listed group and long-standing client of IMT Partners entrusted our firm with managing the launch of a chain store concept in Italy.
During this 12-month assignment, the interim manager will :
- defined the project's strategic roadmap,
- set up a dedicated project team,
- set up a local subsidiary to support operational development.
The result: a clearly structured project and accelerated implementation in the Italian market.
Structuring the Italian activities of a fast-growing company
A growing French company, backed by an investment fund as part of a Management Buy Out (MBO), called on IMT Partners to structure its commercial activities on a European scale, with a focus on Italy.
For 6 months, a former Business Unit Director from the automotive world helped to structure a Sales Department in Italy and to take on the role of Sales Director for Europe, covering France, Italy and Germany. His missions were to :
- strengthen the group sales department,
- lay the organizational foundations for international development,
- structure the company's Italian presence.
